Our curators describe the amazing animals that live at the Museum.
Adjacent to the Discovery House, the Mini-Zoo is centered around a replica Banyan Tree and is home to the Museum’s collection of live animals. Housing a variety of animal species, the Mini-Zoo contains forest, pond, and desert habitats. The Museum’s living collection contains approximately 70 animals, including invertebrates, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals.

By participating in this program, you become an active partner in the care and welfare of our animals. Your contribution will help us to feed, provide expert medical care, and maintain the habitats of the more than 50 animals at the Museum.
