School Groups
Scheduled Guided Tour Fees
If you are not on our mailing list of teachers, and you would like a hard copy of the Guide to Programs, please email info@masmacon.com or call (478) 477-3232, ext. 201.
All Bibb County public organized school groups are charged a flat rate of $2.00 per child.
All out-of-county school groups, private school groups, or non-school groups are charged $3.00 per student for the first selection (planetarium or live animal show, docented exhibit tours) and $1.00 per student for each additional program per visit.
Two free adults are permitted per class. All others pay regular Museum admission. Payment is due on arrival.
Picnic Area
Outside picnic tables are available for groups bringing their own food and drink. In case of inclement weather, there is no inside eating space available. Groups must make other arrangements.
Access
Exhibitions, programs, restrooms, picnic areas and trails are ADA accessible. The Brown’s Mount satellite site is not ADA accessible.
Museum Manners
Everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy the Museum. Please respect these rules:
- Keep hands to yourself. Do not touch objects, cases or walls
- Walk! No running or horseplay
- No food, drink or gum
- Chaperones must remain with student groups at all times
- Keep voices low

Cancellations
Prompt notification of your cancellation enables other classes to schedule a visit. Please contact the Tour Coordinator at 478-477-3232 if you will be unable to attend the Museum.
Non-School Group Visits
Scheduled Guided Tour Fees
Group visits must be scheduled in advance to receive the group rate ($1 off the regular admission price) and to accommodate large attendance. Self guided visits are suggested after 1 p.m. during the week.
The Museum offers a number of regularly scheduled public programs daily. Reservations are not required, but are recommended since space is limited in the planetarium and zoo tours. At least two weeks notice is suggested.
Groups must have one adult per ten children.
Call the Museum at (478) 477-3232 and ask for the Group Services Coordinator, who is responsible for group bookings.
On Your Own
We regret that group rates are not available.
The Museum offers a number of regularly scheduled public programs, on weekends, school holidays and during summer months that are aimed at a general audience.
Reservations are not required but are suggested for large groups. At least two weeks' notice is recommended.
Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
